Officially called the 69th Annual Great Lakes Logging & Heavy Equipment Expo, held at the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Assn.) Grounds, this event annual used to be known as "The Logging Congress." Show hours are: Friday, Sept. 5, 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 6, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. $10 admission, good for both days. This Expo is the largest display of logging, sawmill, construction & trucking heavy equipment in the Midwest, with over 250 exhibitors. Come and see us. Our Indoor Booth No. is 1065. Retirement Party Held for Three Jackson Employees
A party honoring retiring Jackson Lumber Harvester Company, Inc. employees was held at K-D's Homestyle Eatery & Catering restaurant in Mondovi, WI, recently. Robert Everson retired after 42 years, James McGee retired after 24 years, and Charles Laehn retired after 15 years. Employees and their spouses, as well as previously-retired employees and spouses, enjoyed a delicious dinner served by K-D's in their private dining room.
Following the meal, there was a program of reminiscences from the years represented by the retirees. Several employees shared memorable, and in some cases humorous, accounts of happenings they recalled. The retirees themselves told of experiences worthy of note, as particular incidents over the years were brought to mind.
Danny Meis, president of the corporation, presented each retiring employee with a unique, solid oak memento box engraved on the lid with the person's name, number of years of distinctive service, and the Jackson Lumber Harvester trademark, as well as the company's "sold around the world" slogan.

Jackson at Poultry Convention March 14-15, 2012
The annual Midwest Poultry Federation Convention will be held Wednesday, March 14, and Thursday, March 15, at the Saint Paul RiverCentre, 175 West Kellogg Boulevard, Suite 501, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Representatives from Jackson Lumber Harvester Company will be on hand in the Jackson Wood Shaving Mill trade-show booth at this event.
In 2012 the exhibit hall has been expanded. Be sure to come and check us out at Booth No. 506. This will give you a chance to visit in person with the folks from Jackson.
There are interesting work shops to attend, as well as chances to network with others in the industry. More than 1900 participants are expected from 36 states, four Canadian provinces, and several other international countries. Current Jackson customers, new prospects, and old friends: we are looking forward to seeing you at the Midwest Poultry Convention.
