Employee Anniversaries

Several of Jackson's employees recently celebrated their company anniversaries.

Celebrating 40 years with Jackson.....

Robert “Bob” Everson celebrated 40 years as an employee at Jackson Lumber Harvester Company, Inc.. Present & retired employees attended a pizza party and program in honor of Everson. We visited about highlights from past years and the number of foreign countries that were destinations for equipment that Bob had worked on building, in addition to all the machinery that stayed right here in the USA.

During his tenure with the Company, he has served under the leadership of corporate president, Tom Meis, and more recently under the current president, Daniel Meis. Everson has worked as a welder and project leader in the Production Department and currently is in Parts and Quality Control. Bob has been instrumental in the production of machinery shipped to destinations throughout the United States and foreign countries around the world.

Prior to coming with Jackson in 1969, Everson was employed by Dolly Madison Dairy in Eau Claire.

Celebrating 15 years with Jackson....

Mike Phillips has been with Jackson for 15 years. He started as a welder and worked on setting up the control & hydraulic systems. Since then, Mike has been all around the world. He has traveled thousands of miles, both flying and driving, to set up equipment for our customers.

We celebrated with cake & ice cream in Mike's honor.

Dick McGee celebrates 20 years

Dick McGee celebrated 20 years at Jackson Lumber Harvester Company, Inc., on Monday, January 26.  He has been a sales consultant for us since he was hired in 1989.

Dick has been responsible mainly for sales in the U.S., with a concentration on the north-central states.  Upon occasion, he has gotten involved in foreign business as well.

We had a pizza party for all employees, who helped Dick celebrate.  Retired employees were also invited as special guests and Vern Snider was in attendance.  Dan Meis, president of the corporation, presented Dick with a plaque commemorating his 20 years with the company.

Tom Meis & Dick McGee reminisced at the employee party about specific jobs back when Dick started.  Commenting on Dick's achievements over the years, Margi Meis said, "Dick has natural God-given talents in the area of salesmanship.  These gifts he has successfully put to use here at Jackson, which has benefited all of us."

Dick considers Mondovi his "home town," having been reared in this area.  He & his wife, Gail, also raised in Mondovi, currently reside in Eau Claire.  They are the parents of two grown daughters.
